Hey Ya'll

Sorry it's been so long-have been playin on facebook,have had 2 of my nieces here since about the middle of July(1 from Japan and 1 from Oklahoma City), the latter part of June my great Aunt ended up in the hospital and then into a nursing home. Now the doc at the nursing home has decided that my aunt no longer needs 24/7 care, so now she has a choice-stay in the nursing home,going home to her apt,and asst living-which all the slots are full for the asst living, so it is nursing home or home. She has been pushing for home since she ended up in the hospital. So they are letting her go home(GIANT MISTAKE)so she is being assesed fri to see how much help and what kind she will need. I am to meet the assessor gal at 1030 at the nursing home for the 3hr meeting and assesment. Myself along with the rest of the family are very much against her going home as she is totally unable to care for herself.

The rant I am sure will continue I am sure probably on fri afyer the meeting/assesment.

Recipe for homemade

Kaluha:

Combine 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar and boil at a full boil for 5mins,remove from heat.
Add 2tsp Vanilla.

Combine 6Tbsp instant coffee and 1/2 cup boiling water

Add to Sugar mixture.

Add 1 qt 100% vodka and 2tbsp of glycerin.

Stir well.

Pour into bottles using a funnel.

Let stand for 2 days.

Well the sentencing was today. He got a SSOSA sentence(special sex offender sentencing alternative) -he has to finish doing a year in the county jail-will get out in jan. He has to meet 26 conditions, including get a job and going to treatment by the time of his review hearing in Feb(which is 6weeks from the time he gets out). Nobody is expecting him to meet all his conditions-including the judge. At his review hearing, if he hasn't met all the conditions he goes directly to prison for up to life in prison.

My great aunt has been in the hospital since last Thursday. After her hospital stay, they will transport her to a nursing home with rehab services. 1 or 2 weeks after they will evaluate her and we will all decide about possible(most likely)permanent nursing home care. She's 82 1/2 yrs old and this is no surprise. They had her in isolation for a few days testing for tb-today we found out NO tb-YEAH!!!!! She does have a bacterial infection in her lungs that will be there for the rest of her life(has been there for about 3yrs now), she also has chronic bronchitis-which they are treating and she is responding well too. In the very recent time she has become alarmingly thin and frail. She is unable to walk by herself-she has had a walker for a while now, but she needs help now to stand up and to get to the walker and someone to help hold her up while there. She has a few other things which are secondary at the moment but are being looked at as well.

Well, I got the 411 today-apparently it wasn't until yesterday that copies of the presentencing investigation from department of corrections reached everyone-his atty, in which he has the right to respond to at the sentencing so he has been given 1 week-sentencing is now slotted for 1July2009@1330hrs. From what I have been told about the report from DOC-they wrote a scathing report on him, ripping him a new as_hole. The DOC victim advocate told me this morning when I expressed my concern about him possibly being turned loose back into society, she told me that I don't need to worry-that he will be locked up for a long time.

Well the sentencing WAS sposed to be today, the 25th. But somebody filed a last minute continuance yesterday-the 24th. I was just getting ready to write my final draft of the victim's impact statement to be read at the sentencing...When I checked the case and court scheduale when I found the change..

Ok, so I have been asked to write a Victim Impact Statement for the sentencing, which is on Thursday morning. I have been doing some research as to what to include and the best way to write it. So tonight I am going to work on a rough draft. I have a couple options on presentation on Thursday-I can read it myself, give it to the prosecutor or victim adocate to read for me or have it given dirctly to the judge to read. I think I will have the victim's advocate or the prosecutor read it.

I am SOOOO EXCITED! E made the promotion list and will be adding his new stripe July-1AUG2009!

I know it's been a while since my last posting. I have been working on my house-actually unpacking and going thru everything to see what we ACTUALLY have and weeding thru everything-what we want/need/see what family might want ect. Been working on the family tree on ancestry.com. At the plea hearing for the bad dude he pled guilty and the sentencing is on 25 june 2009@0900hrs. I am going and will post the results as soon as I get back from it.

What a wonderful day! Finished the class I had to go to,turned in my certificate for the class, the bad guy in the case that's going on pled guilty yesterday and is looking at a high probablity of life without parole. The case worker that I have never met dealng with our case(she has screwed up so bad and lied thru her teeth)is under investigation from the governor(YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!) Soon the dust will settle and it'll be good.

Today was indeed a great day!
